Behind the scenes? There is only one person currently handcrafting our jewelry and I'll tell you a little about me and how I started this wonderful journey.

My name is Deanna and I create all of our handcrafted jewelry that you see on our website. This journey became inspired to me by a friend/co-worker just before the birth of my second daughter. In October 2006, She had given me a beautiful baby birthstone bracelet for a gift. My daughter out grew this lovely bracelet and the search was on to find another. Unfortunately I came up empty handed and that is how this all begun for me.

It was an interesting outcome for me. I started to research this new hobby at its entirety. I was very intrigued and before long many unnoticeable hours went into learning to incorporate a technique that seemed to work well with my type of creations. My creations that included bracelets for babies and young children. Our young daughters wore the bracelets since babies. They still will wear them but now ask for certain patterns and color schemes. We have evolved into earrings now, and the oldest girl likes necklaces more than the bracelets. Our daughters are now six and four years old, they grow fast! I've saved all their baby bracelets as heirlooms and is a beautiful memory to look back and see how tiny their little wrists actually were.

Every jewelry designer inspires to find their own unique style of handcrafting their designs. There are several methods and styles you can use to complete an inspired creation. I am mainly self taught but as I continue to create handcrafted jewelry the methods and various standard finishing techniques are taught to me through many hours of research through the use of books, video media materials and attending workshops.

We built our original on-line shopping "Baby Bead Treasures" website in year 2007. We then created a new website through Yahoo in March of 2011, this on-line store is the "new and improved" adding many more fabulous features for our customers to shop on-line.

We are well into our 5th year with our on-line jewelry shopping store and look forward to many more year's shared with our customers. As you can see from our website, we have grown from baby bracelets into so much more, including awareness bracelets, beaded watches, earrings, mom and daughter bracelets, name bracelets, name birthstone necklaces and recently new items include gold filled bracelets and traditional birthstone bracelets using semi-precious gemstones and gemstones, pearls with settings of either sterling silver or 14k-20k gold filled or 10K gold vermeil.

We only use the best precious metals such as .925-.955 genuine solid sterling sliver and 14-20K gold filled, and 14K gold vermeil to make these handcrafted bracelets, all of our precious metals are lead and nickel free (we do not use costume jewelry findings that contain toxic lead coatings - you may visit our "product safety" page of our website to read more information released from Health Canada)We always include an anti-tarnish zip lock bag with all of our bracelets and recommend storing the bracelet in the bag when not in use to prevent tarnish on bracelets with the satin sterling beads. We will also provide product care cards if the jewelry you purchase requires special care.

We only use 49 strand professional beading quality wire for all our bracelets. This wire has a test strength of 26 lbs and is very strong and durable. We always recommend a supervised setting with any young and active child, as we all know anything can happen with small un-predictable and active children.
