"I worked with Deanna to create this bracelet to help promote organ donation in honour of my daughter, Ryley, who had a heart transplant when she was just 7 ½ months old. When Ryley was just over 2 months old, she was diagnosed with a condition called Dilated Cardiomyopathy. This essentially means that she had an enlarged heart and it was not pumping with the strength that it should.

She was airlifted to Toronto where they were able to stabilize her on many different medications. Over the next 5 months she was closely monitored in hopes that her heart function would improve. It did not and when she was 7 months old, we could see that she was deteriorating and we made the decision to list her for a heart transplant. Fortunately, she only waited 10 days to receive a new heart. And only 11 days later, she was discharged from the hospital.
It was truly a miracle! Since then, I have worked to promote awareness of the benefits of organ donation. Through this journey of ours, we have met many other "heart" children that will face transplantation. We also know that Ryley likely will face re-transplantation as typically heart transplants only last a maximum of 10-15 years.
By wearing this beautiful bracelet creation I hope to show people the importance of organ donation. If it was not for the generosity of Ryley’s donor family, she would not be the vibrant, beautiful little girl that we have with us today".

The bracelet is composed of Swarovski Crystals in emerald green and satin sterling silver beads along with the center awareness charm.  The bracelet comes with a puffed heart extender in 1.0" size.
